GOONS OF DOOM – HAWAII OR BUST!

HEAVY LAVA ROCKING BY SYDNEY’S LOOSEST GOOD TIME PARTY BAND
Australia’s least likely World Touring rock and rollers, The Goons of Doom are set to end the year on a tropical high with string of shows just announced on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu.

Following the rampaging success of their Californian Tour back in September, the boys were quick to take advantage of the growing enthusiasm of American crowds by returning to the States ASAP – albeit a little tiny chunk of the US floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

“The American Tour in September really shocked us,” says Goon drummer Cutthroat Cowboy. “Every show descended into the biggest fucking party. Even our record label was like, ‘What the fuck? We gotta get you guys back here.’ Everyone was caught off guard by the level of support. So we knew we had to go back and keep the ball rolling.”

The Goons will play six shows in Hawaii between Dec 15-20th from Waikiki right around to the infamous North Shore, home of the island’s most famous surf breaks. “We’ll be playing on the beach at the Banzai Pipeline straight after the final of the Pipe Masters, right as the new surfing World Champ is crowned which will just be surreal,” says Cowboy. “Can you imagine that? Surf rockers playing at the Pipeline? Even Dick Dale never did that shit.”

The Goons return home on Christmas Eve and while they have played their last Aussie shows for 2009 keep your eyes peeled for good times and carnage on the summer festival circuit early in the new year.

WILD IN THE PARKS TUGAN

Wild In The Park Tugan was on the weekend. With weather looking a it off all day
It was great to get it inn with out any hick ups.
All the usual heads were down there and the day was funnier than any other
wild in the parks yet.
It sure is a loose bunch up there and that’s why I love it!
The antics on the day might have been questionable to some, but as Volcom
We love that stuff.

All day the kids ripped and in the groms the top 3 were Callum Tont in 3rd, Kobe Graff in 2nd
And Mitchel Morrison in 1st. All kids showed amazing board control for such a young age.
Mitchel Morrison front feebles are amazing!

The girls ripped it up, with only 3 girls game enough to compete it was good to still see
them go for it even though they all would place regardless.
That’s real skating for ya! 3rd was tifnie Lelievre, 2nd was Riarna Ellis and 1st was Aimee Massie

In the 16 and overs it came down to Dave (Battlecat) Harris, Chase Jeager and
Cody Worrell. All absolutely killed it. Chase pulled the frontside flip over the pyramid
right at the end of the heat. Cody had lines for days and linked trick after trick which the
judges loved. I think trick of the day was hands down given to Battlecat for a Frontside
Flip from the flat to the top on the Pyramid. Amazing!!!
But in the end there can only be one winner and on the day it was Cody in 1st, Battlecat
In 2nd and Chase in 3rd. Well done fella’s you killed it.
