JAY QUINN TAKES HIS 2ND NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL TITLE IN 4 YEARS


Jay Quinn surfed to his second NZ national title in four years at the Hyundai National Surfing Championships at St Clair Beach on the weekend, it was a world class final but Quinny was just to good on the day getting a heat total of 18 out of a possible 20.Quinn's run of form has been exceptional of late after winning a SOL Surf Series event at home in November and now the nationals to remain undefeated.

Volcom's Morehu Roberts was also in the final with Quinn but he incurred an interference on his first wave in the final and ended up with a 4th placing.
