CHRIS FRIEND WINS THE 2010 COURAN COVE ISLAND RESORT PRO JUNIOR

In perfect 4 to 6 foot waves on Queensland’s notorious South Stradbroke Island, Friendy edged out Crews in a thrilling final, which saw the lead change multiple times before Friend shut the gate with a 9.50 registering a combined two-wave total of 16.00 (out of a possible 20) to Crews’ 15.00

Friendy, who also made the final of last week’s Hurley Burleigh Pro Junior moves into second position on the ratings less than 500 points behind Crews as the series gears up for its next stop at North Stradbroke Island for the Oakley Pro Junior next week, stay tunes here for updates on the Volcom team..

VOLCOM SKATE TEAM AT SDS WOLLONGONG

The Volcom Skate team kick off their week long tour throughout Sydney yesterday by stopping in at the SDS Wollongong Store. The Volcom marketing team screen printed tees at the store before handing them over to the Volcom skate team to sign for the 100 + strong fans that turned out.

CHRIS FRIEND STARTS THE YEAR WITH A CRACKER RESULT!!!!

Chris friend has started 2010 on fire, After finishing 4th on the Australasian Junior series in 2009 Chris Friend has come out firing in 2010 finishing 9th in the World junior titles at Narrabeen at the start of the year and now with a 2nd at the Hurley Burleigh Pro Junior he is looking on song for 2010.

VOLCOM JUNIOR TEAM SCORE PUMPING WAVES ON THERE FIRST WEEK AWAY

The Volcom junior team have been treated to perfect waves on there first week of a 2 month stint away with each other.

With the Volcom van packed and ready to head up to QLD for the first event of the series, the Burleigh Pro Junior, our first stop was Foster and we were greated to perfect 4 to 5 foot rippable bowls all up and down the beautiful stretch of coast. Here are some of the shots from the trip enjoy!!!!

The Volcom junior team are away to compete on the Australian Junior series and are all pumped up for a cracker 2010, with the likes of Chris Friend, David Vlug and Sth African Chad Du Toit all in there last year on the Junior series they will be teaching the young blood what it takes to make it on the very competitive tour.
